Tips for Thinking Thin

By Robin Newsome

Losing weight and gaining it back is a waste of time and energy. Thinking thin is necessary for long term weight loss. You need to see yourself and think like a slender person in order to truly succeed at reaching your weight loss goals.

You know that losing weight means watching what you eat and regular exercise. But the real reason that we all struggle with the pounds is our mindset.

Do you know why you eat? I mean think deeper than just hunger. Does it fulfill some emotional vacuum? Slender people eat because they are hungry and thats the only reason. Of course they like tasty food but thinking thin requires that eating be no more important than any other of lifes functions.

Thinking yourself thin is defined by attaining the mindset of thin people. The first mindset change is eating only until you think, Ive had enough. This is in contrast to eating until you are full. Did you know that after you reach the point of having eaten enough, it takes 20 minutes for your mind to communicate that to you?

Most of us as children were told that if we cleaned our plate we were good and if we didnt we were wasteful or bad. If this is a hangup that you havent gotten rid of, the answer is simple. Take smaller helpings and you wont have leftovers on your plate. This will become a habit when you are truly thinking thin.

When you continue eating past the point of having eaten enough, that is the food intake that goes directly to your belly and is stored as fat. Unless you exercise regularly, this fat will stay where it is and never be burned.

I can guarantee you from personal experience that you can change some of these habits. Part of thinking yourself thin is getting to know the subtle differences in how your body feels. Youll avoid overeating because you wont feel well and be sensitive to that feeling.

Be mindful of your thoughts and words when it comes to food and eating. Thinking thin means you visualizing what you desire your body to be. Think of your goal as already having been achieved so that you can convince your subconscious that its real. Affirm that you are thin, change your mindset and you cant help but win the battle.
